PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap for a roof molding with a small number of parts and a good assembling property without limiting the design on a vehicle body side, and its mounting structure. SOLUTION: This roof molding mounted to a groove in a fore-and-aft direction of a vehicle formed on a roof of a vehicle is split into one roof molding and the other roof molding. A cap seals a groove opening formed by splitting the roof molding, and comprises a cap body, and a slide engagement element slidably mounted to the cap body. The cap body has a recessed engagement part engaged with a terminal of one roof molding, and the slide engagement element has a slide lock part slidably engaged with the other roof molding.
