The present invention relates to speech dialog systems and, in particular, to an add-on control module for externally controlling such a speech dialog system. The present invention also relates to a corresponding method for externally controlling a speech dialog system. In order to provide a universal control device for controlling a speech dialog system, according to the present invention, an add-on control module for externally controlling a speech dialog system comprises an input section for receiving a user command, a converting section for converting the user command into a control instruction for controlling the speech dialog system and an output section which is operable to output said control instruction to the speech dialog system. |
