<p>A mixture of urea and alkane-diphosphonic acid(s) optionally substituted with hydroxyl or amino group(s), or its salts is used for stabilization of acidic, metal- and peroxide-containing polishing solution. Independent claims are included for: (1) an acidic peroxide-containing solution for stabilizing acidic, metal- and peroxide-containing polishing baths, comprising 0.1-3 wt.% mixture of urea and alkane-diphosphonic acid(s) or its salts; and (2) a method of chemically polishing metal surfaces with an acidic, peroxide-containing solution at pH of 0-3.</p> |
