The device has a part (P1) supporting a data medium i.e. DVD type optical disc (13), and having a thickness (E1). A part (P2) supports a data medium i.e. electronic module (3), and having a thickness (E2) greater than the thickness (E1), so that a mark (MAR) is created between the two parts. The mark includes a riser strip (CTMAR) constituting a rectilinear guide (CTMAR) along which the part (E1) with low thickness supporting the data medium (13) is teared apart, where the two parts of different thicknesses are made of polymer material. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating a portable device.
