A vacuum insulated switch gear is provided to improve stability by performing a fail safe function through movement of a movable contact in a direction separated from a fixed contact by weight of the movable contact in case of damage of a control mechanism unit. A vacuum insulated switch gear includes a box body(1), a switch(8), buses(5), and cables(3). The box body includes a switch block unit(1b), a bus block unit(1a), and a cable block unit(1c). The switch block unit is defined by a ground metal plate(2a,2b,2c,2d). The bus block unit is placed on an upper part of the switch block unit. The cable block unit is placed on the side of the switch block unit. The switch is installed in the switch block unit. The buses are installed in the bus block unit and are electrically connected to the switch. The cables are installed in the cable block unit and are electrically connected to the switch.
