PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure wherein a component with confidential data recorded thereon can be easily, surely, and directly sealed, and to provide a recording device equipped with the component having the sealing structure. SOLUTION: The sealing structure for sealing a ROM 23 to be housed in the ROM housing section 22a of a ROM socket 22 mounted on a circuit board 21 includes: a sealing cover 24 covering the ROM housing section 22a of the ROM socket 22; a sealing metal fitting 31 which is inserted into hole sections 21a, 22b, and 24a communicating with the circuit board 21, the ROM socket 22, and the sealing cover 24, and whose connecting rod section 31b formed at the rear end and serving as an engaging section is engaged with the edge parts of the hole sections 21a, 22b, and 24a: a sealing wire 32 to be inserted into a wire insertion hole 31c formed at the tip of a fixing rod section 31a of the sealing metal fitting 31 protruding from the hole sections 21a, 22b, and 24a; and a sealing tag 33 for fixing both ends of the sealing wire 32 inserted into the wire insertion hole 31c.
