PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording and reproducing device, wherein recording and reproduction of information are performed surely and stably to and from a thin type flexible disk by preventing air biting. SOLUTION: The information recording and reproducing device is provided with a turntable and a spacer for forming a gap between the turntable and the flexible disk. The turntable has a through hole, provided at a position on the inner side of a position facing the optical information recording region of the flexible, disk facing the turntable and used for making air flow in the gap formed by the spacer. The spacer is positioned on the inner side of a position facing the optical information recording region of the flexible disk, has a projecting part extended from a side surface part so as not to cover the through hole and causes air flow to be generated in the gap formed by the spacer, when the turntable is turned.
