PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the working efficiency of press working in such a manner that the constitution of a carrying apparatus in a transfer press device and the control of a controller for controlling the carrying apparatus are simplified, so as to stabilize the carrying of workpieces, and the exchange working of a die or the like is simplified and also finished in a short time. SOLUTION: To at least two stages and at least two workpieces 6, one multi-articular robot 30 is provided. The tip of a robot arm 31 is fitted with a bar 32 long in a feed direction; the bar 32 is provided with holding members 33, and the workpieces 6 are held by the holding members 33. Upon the feed of the workpieces 6, while holding the bar 32 to a posture in which the longitudinal direction thereof is made parallel to the feed direction, the bar 32 is controlled so as to be moved along the feed direction.
