摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform data transmission using optical signals between devices without requiring an optical element having complicated structure. <P>SOLUTION: An optical box 2 is connected to a transmission control unit 1. The optical box 2 has an optical transmitter 4 which converts data transmitted from the transmission control unit 1 into an optical signal and transmits it, and a leakage optical fiber 5a which is connected to the optical transmitter 4 to transmit the optical signal after the conversion to a plurality of communication partners. The optical box 2 internally has leakage optical fibers 5b, 5c, and 5d which are connected to the respective communication partners, and an optical receiver 9 which receives leak light beams emitted individually from the leakage optical fibers 5b, 5c, and 5d, converts those optical signals into electric signals, and passes them to the transmission control unit 1.
