PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilator for implementing heat exchange between indoor air and outdoor air by means of a heat exchange element and also ventilation, which can increase the heat exchange efficiency, suppress an increase in the overall length of a box and reduce noise. SOLUTION: A baffle 11 can introduce supply air 14 to a back side of the heat exchange element 8 where most discharge air 15 flows to increase the area of contact between the supply air 14 and the discharge air 15 and thereby increase the heat exchange efficiency. The heat exchange element 8 can be downsized accordingly while maintaining the same heat exchange efficiency as before to make the ventilator compact with suppressed increases in the overall length, width and height of the box 1.
