PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an openable double window which allows the operator to clean mutually opposed air layer-side surfaces of a first glass pane of an external sash and a second glass pane of an internal sash when dew condensation or dust is deposited on the surfaces, by opening the internal sash supported by the external sash from inside a room. SOLUTION: A sash 3 is arranged in a window frame 2 in a manner openable to outside a room, and formed of the external sash 10 having the first glass pane 12 and the internal sash 11 having the second glass pane 25. Then an air layer 29 is formed between the first and second glass panes, for heat insulation. Further the external sash and the internal sash are openable in one body, and when the sash is opened, the internal sash is openable with respect to the external sash such that the air layer-side surface 25a of the second glass pane faces inside the room.
