PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaning apparatus preventing erroneous setting by obviously informing a user of the setting situation at switching of sensitivity of a sensor, and being easily used by guiding a proper operation method even when an unsuitable switch button operation is performed. SOLUTION: The air cleaning apparatus has switch buttons 12c, 12d for stepwisely adjusting the sensitivity of a dust sensor part 7 for detecting a concentration of dust or a gas sensor 8 for detecting a concentration of gas, and a speaker 11 for performing informing by a sound/voice. The setting situation of the respective sensor parts is formed by the speaker 11 at operation of the switch buttons 12c, 12d, so that the setting situation can be obviously recognized to the user. Further, the proper operation method is informed by the speaker 11 relative to the unsuitable switch button operation during driving of a body 1, so that response not giving uncomfortable feeding to the user can be performed even when the misoperation is performed.
