PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent malfunction in AF control caused by parallax between an imaging optical system and an outer measure sensor. SOLUTION: When the present position of a focus lens exists nearer to a close-range side than a predetermined position, the focus lens is driven and controlled by using a TA-AF system without using a result of output from an external range-finding unit.
