PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an improvement in washing performance and reduction in washing time of a drum type washing machine. SOLUTION: The drum type washing machine includes a high-density detergent liquid producing process which dissolves the detergent with a small amount of water prior to a washing process and a high-density detergent liquid infiltrating process where the high-density detergent liquid is drizzled on the clothes and the clothes are infiltrated with the detergent. In this case the high-density detergent liquid is poured in from the bottom surface of a baffle 18 for agitating the clothes or the like 17, which is installed on a drum 4, and is spread on and permiates the clothes or the like 17 from small holes 20 provided in the top surface and the tilted surface of the baffle 18.
