PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeder having a simple constitution for surely preventing a movable member from being started kept in a fixed state. SOLUTION: The sheet feeder 1 comprises a casing 15, a lift-up plate 21, a locking pawl 42, and a locking link lever 32. The lift-up plate 21 is provided movable in the casing 15. The locking pawl 42 fixes the lift-up plate 21 to a predetermined position. The link lever 32 releases the fixed state of the lift-up plate 21 by the locking pawl 42. The link lever 32 is arranged to be thrust from the outer face of the image forming device 100 when the casing 15 is mounted to the image forming device 100. The link lever 32 transmits a thrust force from the outer face of the image forming device 100 to the locking pawl 42 to release fixed state of the lift-up plate 21 by the locking pawl 42.
