PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly change the output of a buffer unit, and to improve the conversion speed of a digital-to-analog converter. SOLUTION: An overdrive digital-to-analog converter (DAC), a source driver, and a method therefor are provided. The DAC comprises a voltage divider unit, a selection unit, a buffer unit, and a detection unit. The voltage driver unit provides a plurality of reference voltages. The detection unit outputs a regulation signal, according to a comparison result between a specific reference signal, corresponding to an input digital signal and an output voltage outputted from the buffer unit.
