PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer for a trickle development system in which an image of high image quality can be stably obtained by preventing the image roughness and fogging arising from the flocculation, weak electrostatic charge, etc., due to the embedding of an external additive during toner high consumption in the trickle development system. SOLUTION: The developer for the trickle development system is composed of the toner prepared by adding inorganic fine particles to colored particles consisting of at least a resin and a colorant and a mixture of a carrier, in which at least one kind of the inorganic particles uses the toner of 50 to 300 nm in number average grain size and 15 to 50m<SP>2</SP>/g in BET specific surface area.
