PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly read the bar code attached to a reagent bottle when a worker manually installs the reagent bottle at a predetermined position of a reagent storage space. SOLUTION: The reagent storage space is equipped with: a tray 12 on which a plurality of reagent bottles 1 can be parallelly placed along an insertion direction; guides 14 and 14A for guiding the tray 12 inserted in a horizontal direction up to a predetermined position; a bar code reader 16 arranged in the vicinity of the guides 14 and 14A to read the bar codes recorded on the side surfaces of the bottles 1 parallelly placed on the inserted tray 12; and a speed suppressing means 34 for suppressing the insertion speed of the tray 12 inserted in the guides 14 and 14A.
