The device has a tension transmission device (28) for transmitting tensile forces between the inside of a seat of a vehicle e.g. airplane, and an upholstery cover (18). An anchoring device (29) fastens the upholstery cover directly or indirectly to a cushion (400) and/or the seat. An end section of the tension transmission device, tensile cord (28'), anchoring device and/or a reinforcement device (9) is turned away from the cushion. The anchoring device is implemented as hooks.
