PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fullerene-containing polymer material without chemical modification of fullerene, and a slightly soluble fullerene homogenously and massively dispersed in a synthetic polymer without phase separation, and a process for its production. SOLUTION: The composite of the synthetic polymer and fullerene, and its production are disclosed. Particularly, the fullerene/polymer composite clathrating fullerene in a syndiotactic polymethacrylate polymer or a spiral conformation of the syndiotactic polymethacrylate polymer, and its production process.
