ENCAPSULATED ENDOSCOPE

It is possible to provide an encapsulated endoscope which is introduced into a body cavity of an examinee so as to be floating on a liquid introduced into the body cavity and can appropriately observing an interior of the body cavity without being hindered by a reflected light from the liquid surface or folds. An image of the interior of the body cavity is captured by imaging means (4) having a center of gravity set by a weight (8) at a decentered position so as to maintain a capsule-type case (3) at a certain posture, i.e., it will not rotate other than around the axis of the center-of-gravity direction in the liquid (9) introduced into the examinee (2) and an imaging field set so that the liquid surface (9a) is out of the field at the floating posture such as imaging optical system (4a, 4b) having an optical axis direction inclined against the long-axis direction of the capsule-type case (3).
