DNA EXPRESSION CASSETTE FOR DELAYING BLOOMING OF PLANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably prepare a short-day plant delaying the blooming period under a short-day condition and having characters essentially identical to the characters of a wild-type strain excluding the blooming period.

SOLUTION: The DNA expression cassette for delaying the blooming of a short-day plant under a short-day condition contains (1) a DNA encoding an Hd1 protein composed of (a) a specific amino acid sequence or (b) an amino acid sequence obtained by the deletion, substitution and/or addition of one or more amino acids in the amino acid sequence (a), and (2) a DNA encoding a polypeptide.
