PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable power supply device wherein a DC-DC converter can be started regardless of the state of the voltage of a power storage element. SOLUTION: A conventional DC-DC converter configuration is provided with an isolated DC-DC converter 21 that outputs a predetermined driving voltage to a first drive circuit 13 for driving a first switching means 3. When operation is started, a second switching means 5 is kept off and the first switching means 3 is caused to perform on/off-operation. When operation has been stabilized, the first switching means 3 and the second switching means 5 alternately perform on/off-operation. Thus the backward flow of a current can be arrested when operation is started. Further, the input source of the isolated DC-DC converter 21 is a constant-voltage source 1 having stable voltage. Therefore, it is possible to constantly supply sufficient voltage to the first drive circuit 13 regardless of the state of the voltage of the power storage element 11.
