<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a ceramic honeycomb structure capable of certainly arranging a closure material and excellent in productivity. <P>SOLUTION: A film is bonded to the edge surface of a honeycomb structure main body, through-holes are provided to the film and the closure material is arranged to the cell end parts provided with the through-holes to manufacture the ceramic honeycomb structure 1. The perforation of the film in an outer peripheral region is performed on the basis of the determination result of an image determination means. The image judging means is constituted so as to superpose a workpiece image 3 on an imaginary matrix 4 to successively determine whether the cell image 31 corresponding to each of grids 41 is present so as to go to the inside of a workpiece image 3 from the outside thereof. A grid 41 which determines the presence of a cell image 31 at first is set to the outermost periphery determination grid and the grid on the side thereof is set to an overhead grid. In a case that the cell image 31 corresponding to each outermost peripheral determination grid is determined to be a perfect cell, the position corresponding to the overhead grid on this side is irradiated with a laser beam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
