PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker with a light emitting function making it obvious which circuit breaker should be turned on/of, and which part thereof should be operated, easy to see from multiple directions, capable of preventing a light emitter from receiving impact and of preventing breakage of a lead wire of the light emitter, and easily manufacturable. SOLUTION: This circuit breaker includes: a knob 8 used for manually switching fixed contacts 5 and moving contacts 6 connected to power-side terminal rings 2 installed on a mold base 1, and load-side terminal rings 3, respectively, to closing positions and to opening positions; and a mechanism part 14 tripped by an overcurrent to open the fixed contacts 5 and the moving contacts 6 and to move the knob 8 to the opening position. In the circuit breaker, an LED 15 is fixed to the mold base 1 to illuminate the vicinity of the base end of the knob 8 when the knob 8 is located at the opening position; a current is supplied to the LED 15 from the power-side terminal ring 2 when the mechanism part 14 is tripped; and the whole knob 8 is formed of a translucent material.
