A fluid-powered motor includes a motor configured to convert fluid pressu re into mechanical work and a valve assembly operably coupled to the motor. The motor includes a first chamber, a second chamber, a piston separating th e first chamber and the second chamber, and a rod operably coupled to the pi ston. The valve assembly is configured to selectively control flow of fluid to the first chamber and the second chamber. The valve assembly includes a h ousing, a first spool configured to reciprocate within the housing in respon se to fluid flowing into the valve assembly and movement of the rod of the m otor, and a second spool configured to reciprocate within the housing in res ponse to fluid flowing into the valve assembly and movement of the first spo ol. The valve assembly controls the flow of fluid such that the piston recip rocates, thereby causing reciprocation of the rod.
