发明名称 DIAGNOSIS OF HIGH PRODUCING HANWOO USING MOLECULAR MARKER
摘要 <p>A method for diagnosis of Korean cattle(Hanwoo) highly producing meat amount by using molecular markers is provided to anticipate and decide the genetic properties of Korean cattle(Hanwoo) producing a large amount of meat, so that the Korean cattle(Hanwoo) having high dressing percentage and low M. longissimus dorsi area is diagnosed at an early stage. A method for diagnosis of Korean cattle(Hanwoo) highly producing meat amount comprises the steps of: isolating the genomic DNA from the blood of Korean cattle(Hanwoo); PCR(polymerase chain reaction) amplifying the isolated genomic DNA by using primers containing intron 1 of ACTA1(actin, alpha 1, skeletal muscle) gene; digesting the PCR products with a restriction enzyme HpyCH4 III, subjecting the digested DNA fragments to agarose gel electrophoresis to determine an RFLP(restriction fragment length polymorphism) marker for each genotype; and developing an SNP(single nucleotide polymorphism) markers associated with the dressing percentage and M. longissimus dorsi area through statistical analysis of relation between the Hanwoo meat amount and dressing percentage related to meat quality traits.</p>
