CLEANING METHOD AND APPARATUS OF INKJET HEAD

A method and an apparatus for cleaning an inkjet head are provided to securely clean foreign substances and bubbles contained in a chamber of the inkjet head and thus to improve printing quality and maintenance. A method for cleaning an inkjet head includes the steps of driving a piezoelectric material to vibrate at a frequency corresponding to an ultrasonic wave(S1), and injecting a predetermined amount of ink into the inkjet head to discharge the ink through a nozzle(S2). The method further includes the step of driving the piezoelectric material to inspect whether an ink droplet is discharged through the nozzle. When the ink droplet is not discharged, the steps S1 and S2 are repeated.
