PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clay thin film which has a very low coefficient of linear expansion in a high temperature range and is excellent in heat resistance, dimensional stability, water resistance, transparency and gas barrier property, and to provide a method for manufacturing the clay thin film, and a clay thin film laminate. SOLUTION: The clay thin film consists of a combined material of clay consisting of clay particles, in each of which a hydrophobic cationic substance is introduced into the space between layers, with an epoxy resin having bisaryl fluorene as a basic skeleton.
