A solid state image device is provided to obtain a high conversion gain while controlling KTC noise or charge sharing by disposing a driver transistor having a channel of a carbon nano tube. A solid state image device(1) includes a signal charge detecting part(25). The signal charge detecting part converts a signal charge into a voltage and outputs the converted voltage wherein incident light is photoelectrically converted to obtain the signal charge. In the signal charge detecting part, a driver transistor(31) having a channel(32) of a carbon nano tube is disposed on a channel region(21) between an output gate and a reset gate(26) of the solid state image device by interposing an insulation layer. The driver transistor can include the channel of the carbon nano tube crossing the channel region, a source formed at one side of the channel of the carbon nano tube, and a drain formed at the other side of the channel of the carbon nano tube.
