An apparatus for treating organic wastewater is provided to improve the efficiency in treatment of wastewater and minimize the contamination of soil, by pretreating the organic wastewater using a filtering bath or a vibrating sieve so as to remove the maximum amount of particles and minimize the use of coagulant. An apparatus for treating organic wastewater comprises a raw wastewater-storing bath(100), a filtering bath(200), aerating bathes(300,310), and a precipitating bath(400). The filtering bath includes a filtering medium for filtering off floating matters and solid organic matters from a raw wastewater. The filtering medium is selected from sawdust, nonwoven fabric filter, activated carbon, zeolite, and diatomite. The filtering bath is divided into a precipitating region and a discharging region by a partition wall. The raw wastewater is passed through the filtering medium within the precipitating region to generate treated water. The treated water is inputted into the discharge region through a gap below the partition wall, and discharged through a V-shaped groove of a drainpipe disposed at an upper portion of the discharge region. Further, a mixing tank is additionally contained in the next filtering bath or the first aerating bathes. |
