PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire alarm system and fire alarming method capable of specifying and notifying the place of a fire outbreak in a house when the fire breaks out and also notifying how many persons exist in each room. SOLUTION: The fire alarm system is provided with fire alarm devices 11A to 11E installed at respective places of the house to have mutually different identification information and detect the existence/nonexistence of a fire, a communication equipment 12 installed in the house 1 to transmit a fire detection result and the identification information of the fire alarm devices 11A to 11E to a communication network 100, a storing part 34 storing the identification information of the fire alarm devices 11A to 11E and the installation locations of the fire alarm devices 11A to 11E corresponding to the identification information, an input processing part 31 for receiving the fire detection result and the identification information from the communication equipment 12 through the communication network 100, and a processing part 33 for specifying the installation location of a fire alarm device detecting the fire from stored contents of the storing part 34 on the basis of the identification information received together with the fire detection result when the fire detection detection result received by the input processing part 31 shows the outbreak of a fire.
