PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new organopolysiloxane compound having excellent characteristics inherent in a silicone resin and high impact resistance, and a resin composition excellent in impact resistance using the organopolysiloxane. SOLUTION: This organopolysiloxane compound is prepared by reacting an organopolysiloxane polymer that has a number average molecular weight of≥1,000, and contains at least one of an RSiO<SB>3/2</SB>unit (wherein R is a substituent selected from an organic group binding with Si and a hydrogen) and an SiO<SB>4/2</SB>unit as an essential component, with an organosiloxane chain containing≥50 mol% of an R<SB>2</SB>SiO<SB>2/2</SB>unit (wherein R is a substituent selected from an organic group binding with Si and hydrogen).
