<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide many and diversified kinds of speech synthesizers by using the speech synthesizer of a portable type. <P>SOLUTION: The information on a speaker, applications or the like, is previously stored into the speech synthesizer of the portable type. Also, the speech synthesizer has a function to retrieve the information on the speaker, the applications or the like of the other speech synthesizers.
