The gear has casings (11, 12, 13, 14), which are welded at a shift fork with switching rails (1, 2, 3, 4), where the casings are coupled with the shift fork or a switching rocker. Multiple housing outlets are arranged variably at gear housing for a switching device. The housing outlets have an opening, into which the switching device is inserted. A switching finger is slidable and rotatable in a switching muzzle of the switching rail for selection and for engaging and disengaging of operation. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing the transmission gear.
