PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of suppressing the inside temperature rise of a freezer section when defrosting, in a cooling system using a flammable refrigerant. SOLUTION: In this refrigerator, during an optional stopping time of a compressor after finishing defrosting by a defrosting means 39, at least one air conditioning means of air conditioning means 40, 42, 45, is opened. Thereby, warm air in a cooling room by defrosting is not led to flow into a storage room in a freezing temperature zone, the temperature rise of the storage room in the freezing temperature zone is minimized, and influences on frozen foods or the like can be eliminated.
