SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ADJUSTING CONNECTION PARAMETERS IN A WIRELESS NETWORK

A system and a method for adjusting connection parameters in a wireless network are provided to enable a base station to modify wireless connection parameters dynamically between an endpoint and a relay station without changing a data transceiving method in the endpoint, so that the wireless network can adjust dynamically the wireless connection parameters without updating a random endpoint. A method for adjusting connection parameters in a wireless network, comprising: establishing a first wireless connection with a base station using a first channel(305); establishing a second wireless connection with an endpoint using a second channel(310); receiving a modification request message requesting the modification of at least one parameter of the second wireless connection with an endpoint using the second channel from the base station through the first wireless connection using the first channel(315); informing the endpoint that at least one parameter of the second wireless connection using the second channel is to be modified(330); and modifying the second wireless connection using the second channel to include at least one modified parameter of the second wireless connection using the second channel(355).
