<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a read precision equivalent to that of a multi-scan type laser scanner by an inexpensive scanner part having a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A scanner part 1 having a light source and a scanning optical system, which irradiate laser light L to scan a code symbol to be read, and a light receiving unit which receives and photoelectrically converts reflected light from the code symbol installed in an enclosure 10 provided with a light transmission window, is connected to a driving device 3 through a support plate 2, and an actuator 37 is driven to swing the scanner part 1 around a shaft 21 along a direction of scan lines SL of the laser light in a prescribed angular range, whereby scan lines SL are periodically parallel translated in a vertical direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
