PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a high-quality radio communication regardless of an opening and closing state of a radio terminal device. SOLUTION: An adaptive control device is mounted on a radio terminal device in which two cabinets are connected as to be opened and closed, and an open/close detection circuit 13 is provided which detects an open/close state and generates a detection signal indicating the open/close state. The adaptive control device has antenna elements 10b and 10c provided on different positions of one cabinet mutually and respectively receiving a first and a second radio signal, an antenna element 10a provided on the other cabinet and receiving a third radio signal, a switch 52 which controls to output the first and the third radio signal in response to the detection signal indicating the open state, and to output the first and the second radio signal in response to the close state, and a reception adaptive control circuit 50 which performs an adaptive control to the first radio signal and the second or third radio signal from the switch 52, and outputs the radio signal after the adaptive control as a synthetic radio signal.
