<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data decoding apparatus reproducing an image including most simplified GMC information by slightly adding circuit scale. <P>SOLUTION: The image data decoding apparatus decoding compressed image data, is provided with: a first holding circuit 13 which holds motion information of an entire picture; a second holding circuit 14 which holds motion information of a predetermined processing area unit; a motion compensation and decoding section 30 which performs motion compensation for a predetermined processing area unit and performs decoding processing; and a selection circuit 41 which selectively switches the motion information of the entire picture held by the first holding circuit 13 and the motion information of the predetermined processing area unit held by the second holding circuit 14 and supplies the motion information to the motion compensation and decoding section 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
