The fastening device for fastening of one component to another with tolerance compensation has an adjusting unit consisting of a threaded sleeve and a locating plate connected by a driving bush, wherein the threaded sleeve is screwed into an adjusting threaded nut (10) of a base unit (2) via a first thread pair of a first thread direction. A fastening screw via a second thread pair of an opposed thread direction is screwed into a blind rivet nut (12) and forms with the driving bush a releasable coupled connection so that during rotation of the fastening screw the adjusting unit turns with it. An independent claim is included for an assembly unit for the aforesaid fastening device.
