<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication apparatus capable of making a terminal small in size low in cost by performing switching control of a transmitting antenna with a simple configuration and reducing current consumption required for communication to extend communication time and to suppress battery capacity. <P>SOLUTION: A first receiving part 106, a second receiving part 107 acquire a first RSSI 140, a second RSSI 150 from a first antenna 101, a second antenna 102, respectively, and transmit them to a CPU 110 as receiving level information. The CPU 110 performs decision for selecting a suitable antenna as a transmitting antenna based on the information and generates a transmitting antenna control signal 160 as a decision result to transmit it to an antenna switch 103.
