PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which secures productivity while suppressing wasteful power consumption.

SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises: a remaining paper amount detection means for detecting the amount of remaining paper put in a second paper feeder tray; a first dehumidifying means for dehumidifying the paper put in a first paper feeder tray; and a control means for controlling the first dehumidifying means, based on the amount of remaining paper detected by the remaining paper amount detection means when a paper feeder tray selection means selects the second paper feeder tray.
