PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for laminates, which little necks in, when molded through a T-die, does not cause take-off surging, and is excellent in high velocity moldability, and to provide a laminate containing a layer comprising the composition. SOLUTION: This resin composition for laminates comprises an ethylenic resin which is a copolymer of ethylene with a 4 to 10Cα-olefin, and simultaneously satisfies the following requirements (I) to (V). (I) MFR is 0.1 to 50 g/10 min. under a load of 2.16 kg at 190°C. (II) A density of 875 to 970 kg/m<SP>3</SP>. (III) A ratio [MT/η<SP>*</SP>] of a melt tension [MT] at 190°C to a shear viscosity [η<SP>*</SP>] at an angular velocity of 1.0 rad/sec at 200°C is 1.00×10<SP>-4</SP>to 9.00×10<SP>-4</SP>. (IV) The sum [(A)+(B)] of the number [A] of methyl branches and the number [B] of ethyl branches per 1000 carbon atoms is≤1.8. (V) A zero shear viscosity [η<SB>0</SB>] and a weight-average mol.wt. at 200°C satisfies a relation (Eq-1): 0.01×10<SP>-13</SP>×Mw<SP>3.4</SP>≤η<SB>0</SB>≤4.5×10<SP>-13</SP>×Mw<SP>3.4</SP>.
