A weighing apparatus having an article feeder capable of uniformly feeding articles to feed troughs. A gate (3B) opens obliquely downward and maintains its posture, so that the angle of inclination of the bottom of the gate (3B) becomes steeper than that of the gate (3A). That is, the bottom of the gate (3A) is a gently inclined surface, and that of the gate (3B) is a steeply inclined surface. An article (50) stored in an article feeder (2) slides down along the bottom of the gate (3A) on the gently inclined surface and with its momentum falls onto the bottom of the opposed steeply inclined surface of the gate (3B) while describing a parabola. The article (50) hits the bottom of the gate (3B) and the slide path is varied inward. With the momentum of sliding along the bottom of the gate (3B), the article (50) falls down toward the central part of a distribution table (4) while describing a parabola.
