PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receptacle which hardly has damages in a housing. SOLUTION: The receptacle is provided with a housing 1 which is made of a thermosetting resin and which has two sets of plug blade insertion holes 10 into which the plug blades are inserted and a grounding terminal housing recess 12 in which a grounding terminal 2 is housed. Out of the lower side plug blade insertion holes 10, a grounding plug blade insertion hole 10c in which the plug blade of a grounding electrode is inserted is installed inside of the grounding terminal housing recess 12. Furthermore, a door 3 is provided which is made of a thermo-plastic resin and is installed in free displacement between a closed position to cover the grounding terminal 2 against the housing 1 and an open position to expose the grounding terminal 2. Since there exists no wall to partition the grounding terminal housing recess 12 and the grounding plug blade insertion hole 10c, as different from the case in which the grounding plug blade insertion hole 10c is installed at the outside of the grounding terminal housing recess 12, damages of the housing 1 by the plug blade of the grounding electrode at insertion and pull-out of the plug hardly occur.
