PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein a station participating in a radio network does not always perform transmission and reception as expected, when the transmission and reception of the traffic of certain characteristics are desired. SOLUTION: This communications device, provided with an access point function and a station function determines whether the transmission and reception of the traffic characteristics, can be performed in the existing wireless network. When transmission and reception cannot be performed in the existing radio network as a result of the determination, the communications device operates as the access point function, constructs a network and communicates with the communication partner.
