PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring three dimensional shape capable of measuring the three dimensional shape with a good precision even though the deviation from the parallel between the coordinate axes of the camera coordinate system and the rotation axis of the object to be measured is remaining a little. SOLUTION: Before measuring the shape of the object to be measured, a device for measuring the three dimensional shape calibrates the deviation between the camera coordinate system and the reference coordinate system using the reference work. Regarding the remaining deviation after calibration, the affection of the coordinate conversion is eliminated by the angle correction matrix Mθ. After the coordinate conversion by the Mθ, the coordinate conversion is performed by the axis matching matrix MA for making the rotation axis of the measurement object included in a coordinate plane of the coordinate system. The converted coordinate values for every prescribed rotation angle of the measurement object OB are composited, and the whole external shapes of the measurement object are obtained.
