PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable it to reduce a thickness deviation in the surrounding area of a channel train area by reducing the thickness deviation of a channel plate and assure a sealing performance without performing an abrading, etc. SOLUTION: A liquid discharge head comprises the channel plate 1 wherein a channel 42 containing two or more liquid chambers 6 with which two or more nozzles 4 for discharging liquid droplets communicate and a flow resistance part 7 which feeds a liquid to the liquid chamber 6 and has the width narrower than the liquid chamber 6 is formed and an oscillating board 3 which is joined to the surface where the channel 42 of the channel plate 1 is formed and forms the wall surface of the channel 42. The channel plate 1 is formed with a plated metal and has two or more lightened sections 44 having not a metal along with the channel train 43 outside the channel train area 43 wherein two or more channels 42 are located in a line at the side of the surface joined with the oscillating board 3, while a space C1 between the channel 42 and the adjoining lightened section 44 is more than the space A between the liquid chambers 6 and less than the space B between the liquid resistances 7.
