PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic switch of which an operation sound can be reduced by suppressing transmission of a collision sound generated when a plunger is collided with a stationary iron core 5. SOLUTION: The stationary iron core 5 is installed by dividing it into a base part 50 opposed to the plunger, and into a disk part 51 press-fitted and fixed to a boss part 50b installed in this base part 50. A disk part 51 is formed by overlapping a metal plate 51a (for example, iron plate) having ferromagnetism and a dissimilar material 51b formed by a material (for example, resin, rubber or the like) having a smaller spring constant or a larger attenuation coefficient than that of this metal plate 51a. By this, since an impact power is absorbed or attenuated by the dissimilar material 51b when the plunger has been attracted to an electromagnet and collided with the base part 50, the transmission of the impact sound is suppressed and the operation sound can be reduced.
